Vianet has reported that its data center at the fourth floor of Central Business Park was affected by a fire incident, causing a temporary disruption in services. The company stated that services have been restored through its backup data center, though a large number of customers were initially impacted.
On Wednesday morning, with the support of the Army and Police, the fire was brought under control. Vianet confirmed that services were re-established from the secure data center, and thanks to the extraordinary efforts of its technical team, internet services for most customers have already been restored. The company further informed that full service capacity will be resumed by this evening.
Additionally, Vianet announced that its ViaTV services will also be restored shortly. The company remarked that this unprecedented incident has provided further motivation to strengthen and enhance its network infrastructure.
