Kathmandu: Actor Bhuwan KC has made a comeback to directing after nine years. KC is set to make his directorial return with the film ‘Batulo Jun’ (Round Moon). The formal commencement of the film’s shooting was marked by an auspicious launch ceremony (Shubh Muhurat) held last Friday at the Banglamukhi Temple in Patan, Lalitpur.
Produced under the banner of Sunrise Pictures, the film will star Anmol KC, Nancy Khadka, and Prinsci Khatiwada in the lead roles. The cast also includes Prakash Ghimire, Rear Rai, Deepak KC, Shweta Mishra, Laxmi Giri, Sharada Giri, and Laxminath Timilsina, among others.
KC last directed the film ‘Dreams’. Meanwhile, Anmol KC commented that he will be seen in the same roles and looks as his father (Bhuwan KC) portrayed in films like ‘Chino’, ‘Samjhana’, and ‘Kusume Rumal’, and is joining the film to uphold his father’s legacy.
Jiya KC and Bhavishya Khadka are the producers of the film, which will be shot over 45 days in Kathmandu, Dhorpatan, Kavrepalanchok, Chitlang, and Pokhara. Tejbikram KC serves as the executive producer, while the screenplay is penned by Samipyaraj Timilsena and Sarin Pokharel.
