Kathmandu, November 2
Police have rescued nine pedestrians, including three Spanish nationals, who were stranded on the way to Mustang from the hidden valley of Myagdi. They were rescued by Mustang police from a helicopter and taken to Jomsom.
According to the District Police Office, Mustang, the pedestrians could not find their way to Mustang due to the snowfall. Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Dani said that three Spaniards and six Nepali guides were found stranded and taken to Jomsom Airport by helicopter.
Fistel Air’s helicopter lifted them to safety. Three of them, a Spaniard and a Nepali, were sent to Kathmandu on Monday. Currently, the high mountainous areas of Myagdi and Mustang have become cold with snow.
