Kathmandu — Six bodies have been recovered from the ruins of the Bhatbhateni department store in Chucchepati, Kathmandu, following the arson attack carried out during the Janajati Movement protests last Tuesday.
According to police, the bodies were found badly charred and mutilated, making identification impossible at this stage. DNA testing will be conducted to confirm their identities.
Authorities reported that one body was discovered on Friday, while five more were recovered on Saturday from the wreckage of the fire-damaged building.
Earlier, four charred bodies had also been found at the Bhatbhateni outlet in Dharan under similar circumstances.
