Microsoft co-founder and billionaire Bill Gates has formally denied allegations regarding extra-marital affairs with Russian women and claims that he contracted a sexually transmitted disease (STD).
These allegations surfaced following the release of files linked to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which suggested Gates had been involved in such relationships and subsequently sought medical treatment.
A spokesperson for Gates dismissed the claims as “entirely absurd and false,” asserting that these accusations are part of a calculated attempt to frame and defame the philanthropist. According to the spokesperson, the documents merely reveal that Jeffrey Epstein was frustrated by Gates’s decision to distance himself from their association. Consequently, Epstein reportedly sought to tarnish Gates’s public image as a form of retaliation.
The controversy follows the U.S. Department of Justice’s release of a massive trove of evidence on January 30, including approximately 3 million pages of documents, 2,000 videos, and 180,000 photographs related to the Epstein investigation.
Files released this past Friday included an email from Epstein alleging that Gates had once asked for antibiotics following an infection. Epstein also reportedly accused Gates of ending their six-year friendship solely to protect his own public reputation.
Bill Gates has previously expressed deep regret over his association with Epstein, admitting in 2021 that meeting him was a “huge mistake.” Gates maintained that his interactions were strictly intended to secure donations for the Gates Foundation.
However, reports from the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal indicate that the two met multiple times between 2011 and 2013, including late-night visits to Epstein’s New York residence and travel on a private jet.
The association with Epstein is widely cited as a primary factor in the 2021 divorce of Bill and Melinda French Gates after 27 years of marriage. Melinda Gates has previously confirmed that her husband’s ties to Epstein played a significant role in their separation.
While Gates continues to deny any personal or professional misconduct, the release of these latest files has reignited public scrutiny regarding the depth of their former relationship.
