KATHMANDU: Although it was reported that the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran would also apply to Lebanon, Israel has launched an attack on the Lebanese coastal city of Tyre.
Prior to the attack, the Israeli military directed local residents to evacuate their homes immediately. The Israeli army issued a warning urging citizens to move north of the Zahrani River for their safety. Following this warning, reports of a large explosion in the city have surfaced.
According to the military, the attacks targeted Hezbollah positions in the area. Residents of the Al-Abbassiyah and Shabriha areas were specifically advised to remain vigilant. Israel stated that it requested civilians to move to safer locations due to potential threats from Hezbollah. People in the affected areas have been instructed to move from southern Lebanon to the north of the Zahrani River.
Israel has clarified that there will be no ceasefire in Lebanon and confirmed that its offensive operations are continuing.
