Kathmandu. The United States has announced a moratorium on all asylum decisions for foreign nationals.
Joseph Adlow, director of the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, said the moratorium will remain in place until all foreign nationals are fully vetted and are safe.
Two National Guard members were shot and killed a few blocks from the White House in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, with one of the two guards seriously injured.
An Afghan national has been arrested as a suspect in the case and is in custody.
Joseph Adlow’s announcement came hours after President Donald Trump said he would ban people from third-world countries from entering the United States.
