Kathmandu: Citizens Bank International Limited has extended support to the Akhand Jyoti Baba Swami Shreeji Charitable Trust as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.
The Trust has long been providing essential services to underprivileged and marginalized individuals, including access to healthcare, education, and basic amenities.
It also offers free meals to pilgrims, plays a significant role in the preservation and maintenance of religious heritage sites, and promotes women empowerment through education by running a Kanya Gurukul. In addition, the Trust is actively involved in the protection and management of cows, upholding religious and ecological traditions. It also operates a well-equipped dharamshala to offer accommodation and rest facilities for pilgrims.
During a special ceremony held at the Trust, Citizens Bank CEO Ganesh Raj Pokharel formally handed over the support on behalf of the bank.
Speaking at the event, CEO Pokharel expressed his happiness at being able to support an organization devoted to selfless service.
He emphasized that Citizens Bank, through its CSR programs, remains committed to creating positive impacts in social, economic, cultural, and educational spheres, and will continue to run similar initiatives in the future.
