The Naresh Lal Shrestha group has officially announced its candidacy for the upcoming Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) elections. Led by Shrestha, who is running for the position of Vice President (Commodity), the group unveiled a 17-member team on Monday.
The panel features Hemraj Dhakal as the candidate for Senior Vice President and Kamala Shrestha for the position of Vice President representing the women’s category. This team was formed under the guidelines of the federation’s new statute to ensure a wide representation of the business community.
The group includes a diverse range of members such as Bhakta Bahadur Hamal, Subodh Kumar Gupta, Lilendra Pradhan, and Pashupati Dev Pandey, among others. Representatives like Sunaina Ghimire Pandey and Sudhir Parajuli are also part of the team to ensure the federation’s interests are well-guarded.
According to Shrestha, the team was carefully selected to include experts from various sectors, including agriculture, tourism, export trade, capital markets, IT, real estate, and hydropower.
In his announcement, Shrestha emphasized that the team is both balanced and inclusive, designed to address the specific challenges facing the private sector today.
He stated that his group deeply understands the core values and responsibilities of the FNCCI and is fully committed to solving the problems of the business community. Expressing high confidence in his “strong and capable” team, Shrestha voiced his belief that all candidates from his panel will secure a victory in the upcoming election.
