Kathmandu: The grand finale of Glory Kids Talent 2024, organized by Glory Media, was held on Sunday at Rastriya Nachghar in Jamal. Lubna Chand was crowned the winner of the competition, with Purnima Timalsina and Bipika Rai securing the titles of first and second runners-up, respectively.
In addition to the main title, Chand was awarded for her ‘Most Charming’, ‘Best Personality’, and ‘Best Public Speaker’ qualities. Timalsina, the first runner-up, received the ‘Most Talented’ and ‘Most Intelligent’ awards, while Rai, the second runner-up, was honored with the Public and Popular Choice awards.
Other notable winners included Supriya Sundas, who earned the ‘Organizer’s Choice’ title, Abina Aryal, awarded for ‘Most Popular Choice’ and ‘Best Smile’, and Suwarna Nyaupane, the recipient of the ‘Viewer’s Choice’ award. Sakambari Bardewa won titles for ‘Most Creative’ and ‘Best Walk’, while Prayush Bogati was recognized with the ‘Best Costume’ and ‘Most Photogenic’ awards.
Additional winners included Prasika Tamang, who was named ‘Most Confident’, Samriddhi Bisht for ‘Most Charismatic’, Sanskar Bhattarai for ‘Best Adaptability’, and Suprim KC, who won the ‘Audience Choice’ award. Other titles went to Anushka Khatri for ‘Most Disciplined’, Celsna Thapa for ‘Most Determined’, Lunibha Maghaiya for ‘Best Role Model’, Yunisha Rai for ‘Most Inspiring’, Diya Baral for ‘Most Caring’, and Upasana Shahi for ‘Most Friendly’.
The winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000, and Rs 10,000, in addition to gift hampers.
The grand finale was judged by a distinguished panel of experts, including model Deepak Ghimire, singer, lyricist, and composer Binod Dhakal, director of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and secretary of the Rotary Club of Gyaneshwar Shristi Tripathi, event organizer Ravi Lama Tamang, and model and choreographer Ashwini Koirala. The competition was choreographed by Rosin Shakya, with Pratap Bhatt as the event coordinator, Somraj Bastola as the event director, and Shailesh Nepali as the event manager.
In her address, chief guest Urmila Shrestha stressed the significance of such competitions in boosting children’s confidence and nurturing them into responsible citizens. Glory Media’s chairman and managing director, Saroj Ojha, emphasized that events like these celebrate young talent, inspire societal change, and help shape a future generation of skilled and confident individuals.
