Chitwan: Doctors and nurses from several countries, including Nepal, have exchanged experiences in a workshop on ‘critical care’ medicine organized in Sauraha, Chitwan.
The medical professionals exchanged their views and experiences in the workshop organized by Nepalese Society of Critical Care Medicine and Critical Care Nurses Association of Nepal.
The doctors and nurses who attended the 6th International Conference of the Society and the 3rd National Conference of the Association presented working papers on various issues.
According to Prof Dr Shital Adhikari, Chairperson of the society, doctors and nurses working in intensive care units in India, Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, New Zealand and UK participated in the workshop. A total of 750 representatives including organizers participated in the conference.
The participants stressed the need to enhance skills by organizing such programmes from time to time, as they have to work in very sensitive and challenging situations.
Parisma Tamrakar who coordinated the workshop on behalf of the Association said that it was helpful to exchange the technical and practical knowledge they had acquired. She said that after returning from this workshop, the participants will get motivated in their workplace.
The conference was begun on Friday and concluded on Saturday.
