Kathmandu — One person has been killed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), after a missile launched by Iran struck a civilian vehicle. According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the incident occurred in the Al Bahyah area. The victim has been identified as a Palestinian national.
Relevant authorities have reached the site to assess the situation and have launched a formal investigation into the attack. Officials have urged the public to rely only on official sources for information and to avoid spreading unverified rumors.
In a separate incident on Monday morning, a large fire was reported near Dubai International Airport (DXB). Initial reports indicate that a drone strike targeted a fuel storage tank in the vicinity, sending thick plumes of black smoke into the sky.
As a precautionary measure, flight operations at the airport were temporarily suspended, with some arrivals being diverted to Al Maktoum International Airport. Emergency response teams and the Dubai Civil Defense have since brought the fire under control, and no injuries were reported from this specific location.
The UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed that the nation’s air defense systems are currently active, responding to a wave of incoming missile and drone threats originating from Iran.
