Kathmandu – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin are set to attend a grand military parade scheduled to take place in Beijing, China, on September 3.
According to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both leaders will be present at the special event, which marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II against Japan, also known as Victory Day.
This year’s parade holds special significance as China is preparing to showcase its advanced weapon systems publicly for the first time. The parade will feature hundreds of military aircraft, tanks, and cutting-edge anti-drone technologies.
Analysts suggest that the event is part of China’s broader effort to demonstrate its full military capability to the international community. The participation of Kim and Putin is expected to add strong political weight to the event, making it geopolitically significant as well.
