Mr. Sunil Chopra, Mayor of London Southwark, United Kingdom, who is currently visiting Nepal through Guru Travels Limited visited the office recently. He was warmly welcomed by Mr. Bigyan Raj Sharma, the president of the organization, Mr. Prem Raja Mahat, the Senior Adviser of GTL & Honorary Consul General of Nepal to the US, Mr. Pashupati Bhandari, the Shareholder & a reputed British Businessman, and Mr. Navraj Dharel, the Chief Executive Officer of the organization, who came to visit Nepal through Guru Travels Limited.
In the year 2010, Mr. Chopra, who was elected as the first councilor of Indian origin in UK, visited Sri Pashupatinath Temple as well as met with various distinguished personalities during his stay in Nepal. In honor of him, Guru Towels Limited has also organized a dinner in Kathmandu. Attending the dinner organized in his honor and accepting the token of love, he expressed his gratitude for the hospitality of the organization while praising the professionalism of the team in planning and conduction of the visit.
Speaking at the ceremony held at the head office, Mr. Chopra openly praised the beautiful Nepal and the friendly Nepalis. He hoped that Nepal, being the epitome of Hindu religion and civilization, the meditation & holy scripting place of sages, is a country with immense potential for cultural tourism. He expected that a fully professional and a committed organization like Guru Travels will establish a new milestone in this tourism field.
President Sharma while welcoming on behalf of the organization, expressed his gratitude for the special intimacy shown by Mr. Chopra. Stating that this visit has inspired business and institutional development, he hoped for support and assistance in bringing in tourists from London and Britain in the future. Mr. Navraj Dharel, the Chief Executive Officer of the organization extended a warm welcome and wished for similar supports and confidence be bestowed in the future.
