Kathmandu – During her visit to Nepal, Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan paid a courtesy call on President Ram Chandra Paudel at the Sheetal Niwas on Monday.
In the meeting, President Paudel emphasized the vast potential for strengthening bilateral economic ties between Nepal and Vietnam, particularly in the areas of trade, tourism, investment, and technology transfer. He noted that Nepal is currently focusing on economic and social transformation through investment in key sectors such as agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, and hydropower.
The President also expressed his happiness over Vietnam’s success in developing its economy into one of the most dynamic in the world.
Vice President Xuan, on her part, highlighted the need for further collaboration between the two countries in the fields of culture, sports, and tourism. She also shared her admiration for Nepal’s role in promoting peace on the international stage, as well as its commitment to addressing the impact of climate change.
The meeting was a testament to the growing ties between Nepal and Vietnam, with both leaders expressing their mutual interest in strengthening cooperation across various sectors.
