Kailali . Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Dr. Bishwanath Paudel has assured that the upcoming monetary policy will be designed to bring reform in the economic sector by directly addressing current problems and stakeholders’ concerns.
Speaking at an interaction organized by the Dhangadhi Branch of NRB on Monday, Governor Paudel engaged with businesspersons, representatives of financial institutions, borrowers, and other stakeholders to gather insights on ground-level economic challenges.
He emphasized that the national economy has been affected by multiple recent events, and said the monetary policy would aim to identify those issues and introduce necessary corrective measures.
“The monetary policy will address the concerns shown by the stakeholders,” Governor Paudel stated, adding, “I am here to understand the public’s complaints regarding the national economy.”
He further stressed that his goal is to prepare a people-centric policy, grounded in practical economic issues faced by citizens and the private sector.
Highlighting the importance of cooperation between financial institutions and the business community, he noted, “There is a need to improve relations between banks and financial institutions and businesspersons, so that the national economy becomes more dynamic.”
Governor Paudel’s visit to Dhangadhi is part of a broader effort to incorporate regional feedback and ensure the monetary policy reflects the realities on the ground.
