kathamandu . NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal actively represented Nepal at the China Auto Chongqing Summit 2025 (CACS 2025). Held in Chongqing, China on June 6–7, 2025, the conference focused on global discussions surrounding the transition to new energy and smart technology under the main theme: “Shaping the Future of an Industry in Transition.”
NADA President Karan Chaudhary participated as a panelist in the China-ASEAN session, where he shared insights into Nepal’s automobile sector, trade prospects, and opportunities for regional cooperation. President Chaudhary also took part in two high-level closed-door sessions that explored China-ASEAN EV cooperation, sustainable transportation, and the promotion of electric vehicles.
The summit featured a delegation dialogue that focused on multilateral investment and trade policy cooperation. To further highlight Nepal’s market potential, NADA set up a promotional stall at the conference, presenting key information about Nepal’s automotive market, investment-friendly policies, and the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2025 scheduled for this August in Kathmandu. Chinese automobile companies expressed significant interest in these prospects.
NADA’s participation played a crucial role in promoting Nepal across regional and international markets. The Nepali delegation included NADA General Secretary Surendra Kumar Uprety, Central Working Committee Members Prakash Kapuri and Yamuna Shrestha, along with Invitee Central Working Committee Members Anup Kumar Baral and Narayan Prasad Poudel.
This marks a historic first in NADA’s journey — representing Nepal at an international automobile summit of such scale.
