Kathmandu – The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has appointed Navin Neupane as the new head coach of the Nepal national women’s football team.
His tenure will run through the 2026 SAFF Women’s Championship.
ANFA announced the decision on Thursday, outlining a new leadership structure for the women’s team. Alongside Neupane, Bhagwati Thapa and Raj Kumar KC have been named as assistant coaches. Vrinda Dewan will serve as the team manager, with Shila Giri appointed as the physiotherapist and Bikash Gurung as the kit manager.
Neupane is no stranger to national football duties—he previously coached Nepal’s U-23 men’s team and brings with him a strong understanding of the domestic football landscape.
The national women’s team has a packed international calendar ahead. They are scheduled to play friendly matches next month in Sikkim, India. Following that, the team will travel to Indonesia for a tri-nation tournament featuring host nation Indonesia and Chinese Taipei, scheduled from November 26 to December 2.
Neupane’s appointment marks a new chapter for the women’s team, as they prepare for key fixtures that could shape the future of women’s football in Nepal.
