The 10th edition of ‘Nepal Pharma Expo 2026’ commenced today at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, aiming to showcase the modern transformation and technical prowess of the Nepali pharmaceutical industry. Organized by the Association of Pharmaceutical Producers of Nepal (APPON), the three-day exhibition was officially inaugurated this morning by the Minister for Health and Population, Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam, under the theme “Innovation in Pharma: For Tomorrow’s Health.”

The expo features over 200 stalls, with a notable majority of participants representing international and multinational companies. According to the organizers, approximately 90% of the stalls belong to foreign firms showcasing the latest raw materials, packaging solutions, and cutting-edge machinery available in the global market. The remaining 10% of the exhibition is dedicated to highlighting the progress and diverse products of domestic Nepali pharmaceutical manufacturers.

According to APPON, the primary goal of this expo is to instill confidence among the general public and stakeholders that Nepal is capable of producing world-class, high-quality medicines locally. By bringing global technology and local production under one roof, the event serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and industrial growth within the country’s healthcare sector.
