Kathmandu, May 12
The NEPSE index closed at 2,350.42 today after losing 18.64 points from yesterday’s closing. This is a loss of 0.79%. The index had gained 56.06 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,373.38 points and made the intraday high at 2,389.07. It then went intraday low at 2,343.33 and closed at 2,350.42
228 scrips traded hands via 40,023 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 5,227,359 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.328 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday’s turnover of Rs. 2.16 Arba.
Shivam Cements LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 11.10 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 915 per share. The shares of Arun Valley Hydropower Development Co. Ltd. (AHPC) traded the most.
Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (JALPA) gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker for the day.
On the other side of things, Suryodaya Womi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SWMF) lost all 10% today.
Only two sector indices closed green, “Development Bank” lost the highest 2.14% while “Manu.& Pro.” gained the highest 1.46%.
