Kathmandu – The Nepal Oil Corporation has announced an increase in petroleum prices. The board meeting of the corporation has decided to raise the price of petrol by one rupee per liter, and diesel and kerosene by four rupees per liter, effective from Tuesday night.
With this adjustment, the price of petrol will be as follows: in the first category, it will be Rs. 156.50 per liter; in the second category, Rs. 158; and in the third category, Rs. 159. Diesel and kerosene prices will be Rs. 148.50 per liter in the first category, Rs. 150 in the second category, and Rs. 151 in the third category.
The corporation has categorized the areas as follows: in the first category are places like Bhaktapur, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalubaisi, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj; in the second category are Surkhet and Dang; and in the third category are Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal.
