Kathmandu— Proton, the global automotive brand making strides in Nepal with its innovative electric vehicles, is now driving forward a bold new initiative to power not just mobility—but dreams.
In a remarkable step towards building a more sustainable and innovative future for Nepal, Proton has launched the “Dream a Dream” campaign, an entrepreneurial pitch competition designed to fund and mentor Nepali changemakers. This initiative aims to discover and support visionary ideas from individuals who dare to dream big and create real-world impact.
As part of this campaign, Proton is offering up to NPR 500,000 each to three standout ideas submitted by Nepali entrepreneurs, innovators, and dreamers. The application is open to all citizens through an easy-to-access QR code registration system, and the deadline for submissions is October 31, 2025.
The three winners will not only receive funding but also gain mentorship and grooming support to refine their ideas for the next season of Shark Tank Nepal, where the stakes—and opportunities—are even higher.
“At Proton, we believe innovation is not just built in factories—it starts in the hearts and minds of people,” said Mr. Akhil Gupta, Executive Director of Jagdmaba Motors, the authorised dealers of Proton in Nepal. “Through ‘Dream a Dream’, we want to give back to the very society that’s welcomed us, by investing in the dreams that can shape Nepal’s future.”
This campaign reinforces Proton’s long-term commitment to sustainability, entrepreneurship, and the power of local ideas. It aligns with the brand’s core mission: to energize the future with purpose-driven innovation—from roads to boardrooms.
The winners of the “Dream a Dream” campaign will be announced in November 2025, followed by a dedicated mentorship journey supported by Proton and its partners.
