Kathmandu, August 27
Senior Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Industries and Commerce Chandra Prasad Dhakal has urged Non Resident Nepalese abroad to use knowledge, skills and capital acquired in the foreign land for the development and prosperity of Nepal.
Addressing the Asia Pacific Regional Conference of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), which started in the capital of Thailand from Saturday, Senior Vice President Dhakal said, “There is an investment environment in Nepal. There are countless opportunities here. Nature has bestowed Nepal with enermous resources. Therefore, no matter where we are at work now, we should build our own house for our children. For that, the knowledge, skills and capital that we have acquired in foreign soil should be spent for our own Nepalese mothers.”
Stating that everyone are concerned and interested in their birthplace in times of crisis, Dhakal called upon everyone to work for the development, prosperity and progress of Nepal from now on. “During the first wave of the Corona pandemic, we were worried that the world would be destroyed. At that time, many Nepalis who were abroad for various reasons returned to Nepal. When I saw and heard those stories, I felt that no matter where we are now, our home is Nepal. Everyone will love their birthplace,” he said. Stating that the knowledge, skills and capital acquired by non-resident Nepalis will be of great importance, Dhakal urged them to use at least a few percent of it for the development and prosperity of their birthplace.
“Use the skills or technology that we are learning in the foreign soil for the development of our country. It helps for the development of the country and helps achieve prosperity,” he said.
