KATHMANDU – The 70th Independence Day of Tunisia, commemorating its historic liberation from France on March 20, 1956, was celebrated in Nepal today.
A special ceremony was organized at the Honorary Consulate of Tunisia in Kathmandu to mark the occasion. The event saw the participation of various representatives from Nepal’s diplomatic and business communities.
Speaking at the program, Bhawani Rana, the Honorary Consul of Tunisia to Nepal, extended her best wishes and noted that the relationship between Nepal and Tunisia has grown stronger in recent years. She highlighted the expanding cooperation in sectors such as tourism, trade, and investment, expressing confidence that mutual collaboration will continue to broaden in the future.
Participants at the event emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and elevating economic and cultural cooperation to new heights.
