Unilever Nepal Limited (UNL) successfully held its 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 28, 2024, at the Everest Hotel in Kathmandu. The event was attended by board members, the management team, and shareholders.
This year’s AGM was particularly notable as the company approved a record dividend of Rs. 1,714 per share, reflecting an 8% increase from last year’s payout.
During the meeting, Mr. Dev Bajpai, Chairman of Unilever Nepal Limited, expressed his gratitude to shareholders for their steadfast support, which has been instrumental in the company’s achievements. He addressed recent performance metrics, the challenges of growing volumes in a tough operating environment, and outlined the future strategies aimed at enhancing volume growth through targeted category strategies.
Mr. Bajpai also emphasized UNL’s dedication to maintaining high sustainability standards to protect both the environment and stakeholders. The meeting included discussions from shareholders, investment analysts, and the board, who actively engaged in addressing questions regarding business performance and the outlook for the upcoming fiscal year.
Additionally, the AGM marked the early retirement of Mr. Dev Bajpai, who has provided exemplary leadership to UNL over the past four years. The Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Amlan Mukherjee, along with the board and shareholders, honored Mr. Bajpai for his valuable contributions to the company’s growth.
