Kathmandu: As part of its enduring commitment to social good and sustainable development, vivo Nepal has announced a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in partnership with the National Innovation Center (NIC), spearheaded by celebrated social entrepreneur Dr. Mahabir Pun.
Through this initiative, vivo Nepal pledges to donate Rs. 50 for every unit of vivo V50 Lite sold during the first 50 days of its launch. The funds generated will directly support “Nyano Nani”, an innovative, life-saving project developed by NIC that provides essential warmth to premature and low-birth-weight newborns, especially in remote communities of Nepal.
This CSR effort supports vivo’s aim to empower local communities and promote local ideas. By contributing to Nyano Nani, vivo is helping improve newborn care in areas that need it most, while encouraging local innovation to solve real-life challenges.
Dipesh Khanal, Brand Manager at vivo Nepal, remarked:
“We are honored to support the National Innovation Center’s visionary efforts. This collaboration mirrors our dedication to empowering Nepali communities and promoting sustainable innovation. By contributing to Nyano Nani, we are supporting the country’s most vulnerable lives while advancing our shared goal of a healthier Nepal.”
Rtd. Col. Sanjay Jha, General Manager of NIC, added:
“The support from vivo Nepal will help us scale the Nyano Nani project to more regions and communities. This partnership empowers our mission of delivering locally-made, life-saving technology to more families in need across Nepal.”
This CSR activity stands as a testament to vivo’s broader vision—blending technology with purpose to drive meaningful, sustainable development. With projects like this, vivo Nepal hopes to create lasting value and make a real difference for people across the country.
