Kathmandu – Four newly appointed ministers have officially taken their oaths of office at a special ceremony held at the President’s residence, Shital Niwas.
President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath to the new cabinet members.
The individuals sworn in are: Anil Kumar Sinha, a former judge, who will now lead the Ministry of Industry, Law, and Land. Mahabir Pun, founder of the National Innovation Center, who has been appointed Minister of Education, Science, and Technology. Jagdish Kharel, a journalist, taking charge of the Ministry of Communication and Information and Madan Pariyar, an expert, who will serve as the Minister of Agriculture.
Initially, the name of Dr. Sangita Mishra, an additional health secretary, was also proposed for a ministerial position, but her appointment was put on hold at the last minute.
The swearing-in ceremony follows the appointment of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki as Prime Minister on August 27. Her cabinet now consists of eight members, including the Prime Minister. The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal, and Prime Minister Sushila Karki herself.
