Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump has warned that the United States could launch military strikes against Iran again if necessary. However, he stated that he prefers to seek a solution through negotiations rather than military action. Speaking to reporters aboard the presidential aircraft (Air Force One), President Trump said that while action could be taken at any time if needed, he does not wish to create a situation that leads to the loss of human lives.
According to him, reaching an agreement could save many lives.He also informed that indirect talks between the United States and Iran through mediators would begin today. The discussions are expected to cover key issues including the Strait of Hormuz and Iran’s nuclear program. However, details regarding where the talks will take place and who will participate were not disclosed.
Trump further stated that a proposed new attack on Iran was suspended following requests from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. According to him, although the US military was preparing for its largest attack since World War II, the decision was made at the last moment to give diplomatic efforts a chance.
