Kathmandu: Nepal SBI Bank Ltd. (NSBL) has carried out a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at Shree Paropakar Tatha Anusandhan Kendra (Briddhashram) in Birtamode, Jhapa, providing essential items to support homeless and physically or mentally challenged individuals.
The essential items were formally handed over by Ram Kumar Tiwari, Managing Director and CEO of Nepal SBI Bank, to Bishnu Karki, Chairperson of Shree Paropakar Tatha Anusandhan Kendra.
Vikas Anand, Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer; Rajesh Kumar Panda, Chief Financial Officer; Prabin Muni Bajracharya, Chief Business Development Officer; Roshan Koirala, Chief Credit Officer; Damayanthi Joshi, Head of Koshi Province, along with other officials from the bank and the ashram, were present at the program.
The bank said the initiative reflects its continued commitment to community welfare and support for vulnerable sections of society.
Meanwhile, Nepal SBI Bank has also relocated its Itahari Branch to a new location at Bista Complex, Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-9, Sunsari, from its previous premises at Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-1, Dharan Road.
Similarly, the bank has relocated its Ilam Branch from Ilam Municipality-1, Ilam Bazaar, to a new location at Ilam Municipality-7, Ilam Bazaar. Banking services have already resumed from both new premises.
Ram Kumar Tiwari inaugurated the newly relocated premises of both branches. According to the bank, the relocation is aimed at improving accessibility and providing customers with modern facilities and a better banking experience.
Nepal SBI Bank has been providing banking services in Nepal for the past 33 years. The bank currently operates through 104 branches, 22 extension counters, 7 provincial offices, 21 branchless banking outlets, 127 ATMs and a corporate office.
