KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 20
Around 100 flights scheduled for operation to and from the capital have been suspended today owing to conditions generated by bad weather.
According to the domestic airport officials, this is the highest number of flight suspensions recorded in a single day in recent times as air carriers could not operate services to various hilly as well as plain areas since incessant rains and overcast weather have led to air-travel adverse conditions.
Air service providers including Buddha and Yeti Airlines have issued statements expressing their inability to conduct regular flights due to the weather.
Likewise, Tara Air, Nepal Airlines, Summit Air, Saurya Air, Guna Air and Shree Airlines also had to stall their flights for the day.
