Kathmandu, October 25
New Case Alert: 776 new COVID-19 cases are positive whereas 501 people have achieved recovery and whereas 13 deaths have been reported in last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 903,847 as of Monday afternoon.
In this period, 8,284 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 673 returned positive. Likewise, 2,580 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 103 tested positive.
Of total tests, 8.12 per cent of the PCR and 3.99 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 7.14 per cent.
As of today, there are 10,360 active cases across the country. Of them, 743 are hospitalized, 254 in intensive care units and 74 on ventilators.
Of the total cases so far, 788,008 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,361 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.3 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.
Meanwhile, 57,610 people were vaccinated today.
