New Case Alert: 533 new COVID-19 cases are positive whereas 490 people have achieved recovery and whereas 9 deaths have been reported in last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 907,638 as of Monday afternoon.
In this period, 7,468 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 441 returned positive. Likewise, 4,196 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 92 tested positive.
Of total tests, 5.90 per cent of the PCR and 2.19 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 4.56 per cent.
As of today, there are 9,318 active cases across the country. Of them, 720 are hospitalized, 241 in intensive care units and 74 on ventilators.
Of the total cases so far, 792,277 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,416 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.4 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.
Meanwhile, 65,028 people were vaccinated today.
