Kathmandu, Nov 21
Vote counting of the election to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly is set to start today evening.
Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapalia while speaking to the media informed that the counting will start from 9 PM today in Kathmandu and Tarai. He has cast his vote at 7:00 am at Unique Academy polling station in Lokanthali of Madhyapurthimi Municipality-1.
Thapa said that the ballots will be collected immediately after the conclusion of the election. The commission has planned of collecting the ballots till 7 PM and after one hour of meeting, we will start vote counting by 9 PM.
He added that the vote counting of hill areas shall start from tomorrow 5 AM as it is difficult to collect ballots in the area.
Voting for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly started at 7:00 am across the country today.
Meanwhile, voting has started in both constituencies of Bhaktapur. Voters queued to vote since early morning today.
Chief Returning Officer Gopal Prasad Bastola said that voting has started in all centers of the district.
