Kathmandu, Nov 22
Gagan Thapa of Nepali Congress has been confirmed as the winner in Kathmandu 4.
He is set to be elected as a member of the House of Representatives, defeating Rajan Bhattarai of CPN-UML by a huge margin.
So far, 43,396 votes have been counted in this region. The votes cast are 48,859 votes. Now when 5, 463 votes are to be counted, Thapa’s lead has reached 6,834. Therefore, Thapa will win even if there are no votes in the next count.
In the counting so far, Thapa has got 20,417 votes while UML’s Bhattarai has got 13,032 votes. Similarly, RPP got 3,693 votes and Stick got 1,133 votes.
