Kathmandu, The assembly plant of the two-wheeler Honda, which is the highest-selling 2-wheeler brand in Nepal, has been established in Nepal.
On March 6, 2024, Mr. Minoru Kato, Vice President of Honda Motorcycle’s main business unit, inaugurated Honda’s Assembly Plant in Bhairahawa. Various domestic and foreign representatives of Honda Company were present at the ceremony.
The presence of Mr. Tayuki Nakanose, General Manager of Kumamoto Factory, Vehicle Assembly Plant, along with Mr. Tetsuya Komine, Sales Director from ASH (Thailand), and Mr. Yoichi Shimada, Production Director, added grandeur to the event.
Additionally, Mr. Masahide Hirose, Sales Department Manager, and Mr. Yasuyuki Yamamoto, Assistant Manager, from Japan enhanced the significance of the program. Moreover, Mr. Naveen Awal, Production Director from HMSI (INDIA), and Mr. Pradeep Chaudhry, General Manager of Export/Import Sales & After Sales, graced the occasion with their honorable presence.
In the program, prominent figures from Nepal such as Honourable Chabilal Biswakarma, Member of the House of Parliament, Honourable Santosh Pandey, Home Minister of Lumbini Province, Bhagwati Chaudhary, Province Member of Parliament, Bidya Yadav, Chairperson of Rohini V.D.C, Hari K. Bhatt former Chairperson of Om Satiya V.D.C were present.
As well as, Padma Jyoti, Chairman of Jyoti Group, Saurabh Jyoti, Chairman of Himal Moto Nepal P. Ltd, were also present.
With an investment of 150 Crore NPR, covering an area of 220,000 square feet, this plant has the capacity to produce 100,000 motorcycles and scooters. Honda has gained the trust of its customer base over 55 years, and is the highest-selling brand of two-wheelers in Nepal.
With the new plant, Honda Nepal is committed to maintaining its world class quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction. Syakar Trading Company Pvt. Ltd., Honda’s authorized distributor for Nepal, has stated that the company will increase availability of products, accessibility of spare parts and service with this newly established assembly plant through its subsidiary company Himal Moto Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
