Kathmandu– Prime Minister Balendra Shah will head a Nepali delegation to New York on Ashwin 6 (September 22) to attend the high-level segment of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Shah is scheduled to address the General Assembly on Ashwin 8 (September 24) and hold a bilateral meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres during his stay in New York.
Ahead of the delegation, Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal will depart on September 20 to participate in various high-level meetings, side events, and ministerial discussions, alongside bilateral engagements with foreign counterparts and high-ranking international officials. The official delegation includes Foreign Minister Khanal, Prime Minister’s Chief Advisor Kumar Byanjankar, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, and senior government officials, with Prime Minister Shah set to return to Kathmandu on Ashwin 10 (September 26).
