Kathmandu. Chery is preparing to launch its new electric urban crossover, the ‘Chery Q’, in the Nepali market. Aimed at modern urban lifestyles, the vehicle will be officially unveiled for the first time at the ‘NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026’, which is scheduled to take place from August 12 to August 17 (Saun 27 to Bhadra 1) at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
Based on an advanced electric platform, the Chery Q features an attractive exterior design along with a spacious and practical interior structure, according to the company. The vehicle offers a 375-liter boot capacity for luggage, which can be expanded up to 1,450 liters by folding the rear seats.
The Chery Q is equipped with a 90 kW permanent magnet electric motor and a 41.2 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery. Featuring a rear-wheel-drive system, the company claims the vehicle can achieve a driving range of approximately 400 kilometers on a single charge, based on NEDC standards.
The company also highlights that the vehicle is highly efficient in terms of charging. With an 85 kW fast DC charging capability, the battery can be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 16 minutes. Additionally, it features a ‘Vehicle-to-Load’ (V2L) system, allowing users to power external electrical appliances directly from the car.
