Demonstration in front of PM’s residence against rape (Photo Feature)

Youths have protested in front of the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar against rape and sexual violence.

The youths staged a protest in front of the Prime Minister’s residence on Friday morning after the incident of rape of a teenager by a member of the beauty pageant became public.

After the victim revealed on social media that she had been raped in the name of beauty pageant, the youths staged a protest demanding action against the culprit.

The protesters demanded that the deadline for filing a complaint be removed within a year from the date of rape and sexual violence and that a law be enacted to punish the perpetrators and bring justice to the victims.
