Kathmandu: Four people living in a shed near the Ungilung River in Chumchet, Chumnubri Rural Municipality-6, Gorkha, have gone missing following flooding in the Budhi Gandaki River on Sunday morning.
According to local residents, a landslide near the Ungilung River triggered a flood that flowed through the Syar River and into the Budhi Gandaki River.
Sherap Gurung, a resident of Chumnubri-6, said the four people had been unaccounted for since early Sunday morning.
“Villagers have gone to search for them, but they say they cannot even find the shed. We are searching for them,” Gurung said.
He confirmed that all four people had been living in the shed near the river.
Search efforts are underway, but the whereabouts of the missing individuals remain unknown.
