Kathmandu — The Lebanese Army has reported multiple breaches of the ceasefire agreement by Israel, documenting several strikes on Lebanese villages. According to military statements, Israeli forces have also engaged in sporadic gunfire across the border. In response to these incidents, the Lebanese Army has urged returning displaced citizens to exercise extreme caution and avoid entering areas identified as high-risk or hazardous.
Despite these reports of tension, a massive wave of displaced people continues to head toward southern Lebanon following the official declaration of the truce. While many citizens have been seen celebrating the pause in hostilities, the humanitarian situation remains dire. With over one million people displaced during the conflict, the United Nations Refugee Chief has issued an urgent appeal to the international community for immediate assistance.
While the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have not issued a formal comment regarding these specific allegations of violation, the Israeli government had previously stated that its military actions would be limited to responding to any attacks initiated by Hezbollah. This fragile situation underscores the uncertainty surrounding the sustainability of the current peace agreement.
