Kathmandu, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has issued directives to relevant authorities to ensure the swift initiation of rescue and relief efforts targeting those affected by the earthquake that struck Bajhang and its neighboring regions on Tuesday.
Addressing the 12th session of the National Council for Disaster Risk Mitigation and Management today, the Prime Minister called for coordinated actions to effectively manage the aftermath of the earthquake. He expressed gratitude to all those who have been actively involved in post-disaster rescue and relief operations.
The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of a unified and collaborative approach involving the three-tier government, civil society, political parties, and the community in mitigating the consequences of natural disasters. He pledged the government’s unwavering commitment to relief, rescue, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconstruction efforts, leaving no stone unturned.
