The Proton brand’s E-Mass 7 electric vehicle (EV) has been globally launched in Malaysia. The vehicle was unveiled by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and is also Malaysia’s first EV. It has been announced that the E-Mass 7 will be available in Nepal as well, along with other countries including Trinidad and Tobago, Singapore, and Mauritius.
Proton’s official distributor in Nepal, Jagdamba Motors, has stated that the E-Mass 7 will be available in the Nepali market in the first quarter of 2025. Currently, Jagdamba Motors is also distributing other Proton models in Nepal.
The Proton E-Mass 7 has received a 5-star rating in the ASEAN NCAP, with an overall score of 92.57.
The E-Mass 7 is available in two variants: Prime and Premium. It comes equipped with the “Aegis Smart Blade” battery, which is the latest generation of batteries, offering capacities of 49.52 kWh and 60.22 kWh respectively. These two battery variants are certified by the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure) for ranges of 345 km and 410 km.
The Prime variant includes features like remote control and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), while the Premium variant adds additional features such as a windshield head-up display and front ventilated seats.
