Kathmandu. Nepal has suffered its second consecutive defeat in the ACC Men’s U-19 Asia Cup. In a match concluded on Monday, Nepal was defeated by Bangladesh by 7 wickets.
Chasing a target of 131 runs set by Nepal, Bangladesh achieved the target in 24.5 overs, losing 3 wickets.
Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Nepal was all out for 130 runs in 31.1 overs.
For Nepal, Abhishek Tiwari scored the highest with 30 runs, while Ashish Luhar made 23, Sahil Patel 18, and Niraj Kumar Yadav 14 runs. For Bangladesh, bowler Mohammad Sobuj took 3 wickets, and Saad Islam, Shahriar Al Amin, and Azizul Hakim took 2 wickets each.
With this loss, Nepal’s chances of reaching the semi-finals are nearly over. Nepal is now scheduled to play its final match against Afghanistan on Wednesday.
