Kathmandu– Tensions between the United States and Iran have surged once again in the Middle East, prompting the U.S. to issue security alerts and urge its embassies and citizens across the region to exercise heightened caution. Amid the growing unrest, U.S. President Donald Trump cut short his visit to Camp David and returned to the White House on Saturday evening, though officials did not clarify the reason for his early departure.
Military activity has also intensified, with reports from Russia Today indicating that U.S. B-1B Lancer bombers departed from RAF Fairford in the UK heading toward the Middle East, while Iran’s Press TV observed air defense movements near the Kharab al-Jir airfield in northeastern Syria. The U.S. has advised its nationals in Iraq, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar, Lebanon, Kuwait, and Jordan to remain vigilant, keep track of flight schedules, and exercise extreme caution when traveling in the region due to the risk of a rapidly escalating conflict.
Meanwhile, Iran announced that it has presented seven conditions to the U.S. through Qatari mediators to end the ongoing warfare, with Mohsen Rezaei, Iran’s security chief, confirming they are awaiting President Trump’s response. Rezaei noted that Iran’s demands include halting hostilities on all fronts, unfreezing Iranian funds abroad, and lifting maritime blockades, warning that Tehran remains fully prepared to continue the conflict if these terms are not met.
