Wuling has introduced a self-driving electric vehicle (EV) charger that can be delivered to various locations, functioning like a portable power bank.
The Chinese EV manufacturer Wuling unveiled a Mobile Energy Storage Charging Vehicle (MESC-V) as a significant solution for EV charging. This autonomous charger aims to eliminate congestion at EV charging stations and provide on-demand power to drivers scattered across different locations.
The largest model features a 141-kilowatt-hour battery and can automatically reach any location as needed. Priced at $42,000, this model stands 7.5 feet tall, 6.5 feet long, and 3.1 feet wide.
A smaller version comes with a 30-kilowatt-hour battery and is priced at $11,000. Given the growing craze for EVs in China and worldwide, these types of chargers are expected to be highly useful. It is also believed that this innovation will help prevent situations where any EV runs out of power in the future.
