Dolpa : A woman in critical condition following childbirth has been rescued from Dolpa and airlifted to Surkhet by a Nepal Army helicopter for further treatment.
The woman, identified as 26-year-old Junu Budha from Kagkot in Chharkatangsong Rural Municipality, was transported to Karnali Provincial Hospital in Surkhet on Tuesday.
According to the District Administration Office, Dolpa, Budha was taken to Dolpa District Hospital on Monday after experiencing labour pain.
However, her health condition became critical during treatment, prompting doctors to recommend transferring her to a better-equipped hospital for further medical care.
She had been in a serious condition since Monday before being airlifted to Surkhet on Tuesday through a Nepal Army helicopter.
