Kathmandu : Journalist and writer Govind Marasini was honored with the Gandaki Pradesh Yuwa Pratibha Puraskar in a prestigious ceremony held at the Gandaki Province Ministry of Social Development and Health. The award, accompanied by a cash prize of NPR 50,000/- recognized Marasini’s significant contributions to promoting tourism in Gandaki Province through his dedicated journalism.
Born in Syangja and active in journalism for the past 13 years, Marasini has made a remarkable impact on national-level media, focusing on youth issues, tourism, politics, and contemporary societal matters. Marasini also serves as the secretary of the Online Journalists Association, further highlighting his commitment to the field.
Throughout his career, Marasini has highlighted various tourism facets of Nepal, including major tourist destinations, adventure sports, religious tourism, and rural tourism. His investigative articles on pressing contemporary issues have also garnered acclaim, previously earning him accolades such as the SAARC Youth Leader Award and the Active Journalism Award in Crisis.
A total of 13 individuals across eight different categories have been awarded.
