Kathmandu : Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Bishnu Prasad Paudel, has shared that the details of payment to be made by different government bodies to construction entrepreneurs is being finalized and a process would be forwarded to pay their due amount soon.
Minister Paudel said this during a meeting with office-bearers of the Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal at the Finance Ministry today.
Earlier to this, Finance Minister Paudel had held discussion with secretaries of different ministries.
He mentioned, “Secretaries of subject ministries have been asked to clear the payment of the completed projects. Problems should not be kept remaining. It should be resolved gradually. Let’s seek the outlet by holding discussions.”
The Finance Minister urged the contractors to complete the construction activities within the deadline and determined cost by maintaining quality, stating that the government was ready to listen to their genuine problems and address them.
Construction entrepreneurs have been claiming that they are owed around Rs 60 billion.
