Kathmandu, February 10
Nepali citizens travelling to India will not be required to undergo the RT-PCR test starting February 14.
The Indian government, easing the restrictions on on overseas arrivals, has decided to allow travelers from 82 countries including Nepal, to upload their certificate of complete Covid-19 vaccination instead of prior RT-PCR negative results. The vaccination status details should be provided in a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha online portal before scheduled travel.
The travelers will, however, have to include details of their 14-day travel history in the portal.
Likewise, India has also done away with the requirements of seven-day quarantine period and the Covid-19 test on the eighth day.
According to the latest travel guideline issued by GOI, the travelers will now self-monitor their health for as long as 14 days of their arrival at the destination.
