Kathmandu — One person was killed and five others were injured after a shooting broke out at a musical event in the northern canton of Aargau, Switzerland. Local police and media outlets reported that several of the injured are in critical condition.
According to the state police, the gunfire erupted during an event held in the capital city of Aarau. Following the incident, law enforcement deployed a large number of security personnel to launch an extensive manhunt for the unknown suspect.
Police stated that the motive behind the shooting and the exact circumstances surrounding the event remain unclear. Search operations are actively underway for the suspect believed to be involved in the crime.
The shooting occurred near a racetrack in the Schachen area of Aarau. In the aftermath of the incident, authorities secured the surrounding areas—including the racetrack, a public swimming pool, and nearby sports grounds—and issued an advisory asking local residents to stay away from the vicinity.
